28–29 Aug 2026: FAN units (from Ouallam, Téra and Dosso; Airbase 101) attacked the presidential palace, RTN state TV and the air base. The Presidential Guard and Africa Corps (reportedly using kamikaze drones) crushed it; dozens killed or arrested. The junta calls it a ‘spontaneous outburst’.
