10 Sep 2026: JNIM overran the Dioura base (Ségou/Mopti border), reportedly killing over 100 soldiers and capturing 92 (JNIM itself claims 150+ soldiers and 5 Russians killed, 93 captured). The FAMa communiqué (~20 Sep) described a heliborne operation that ‘evacuated two companies’, i.e. the post was given up; Bamako blamed ‘foreign fighters’.
